One question we are often asked about Cuba is how expensive is it? Cuba provides good value for what you pay for. Having said that - it really depends on what you are looking for when it comes to accommodations.
A colleague recently arrived back from Havana having stayed in a beautiful guest house in the city for about $25 USD.
When compared to other Caribbean destinations, we would say that Cuba is an inexpensive place to not only visit, but also to engage in fun-filled adventure activities!
Most travelers will either stay at an all-inclusive resort, a hotel, or a "private house". Prices can be anywhere from $20USD per night to over $200.
It's a good idea to look around on the internet for deals on all-inclusive resorts.
You might pay a little more, but do the math, and you'll see that with food and other incidentals, some of the packages offered are quite reasonable!
There are no direct flights to or from the United States into Cuba. There are however many flights from other countries direct - including Canada, Mexico, Spain, and France.
Air Canada offers almost daily service to Havana from Toronto. And Cubana Airlines flies year round from Toronto and Montreal, with seasonal flights to Varadero, Cienfuegos, and Cayo Largo.
From Europe, Air France, Condor, and Air Europa all provide service to Havana. It's also possible to fly via Cancun or Nassau into Cuba. Other airlines as well from Central America provide weekly if not daily service into Varadero or Havana.
